PETERBOROUGH, ON - The Rock headed into Peterborough Tuesday night with a renewed sense of confidence after winning Game 3 on home turf and cutting the Lakers lead in the series to 2-1.

Dan Lomas opened the scoring for the Rock 7:03 into the 1st and it seemed like things were off to a good start. Peterborough would respond though as Corey Vitarelli countered with three straight goals and Nick Weiss would add one more before the end of the 1st frame, to give the Lakers a 4-1 lead heading into the break.

Shawn Evans scored within the first minute of the 2nd, and then again at the 9 minute mark to give the Lakers a 6-2 lead. But the Rock would start the chip away at the Lakers cushion. Enter 21-year old Wes Berg who would fire two past Matt Vinc before the period was over cutting the score to 6-4 at the end of 2.

Vitarelli would score early in the third, followed by another from Berg. Then Curtis Dickson buried on the crease to give the Lakers a 8-5 lead. Wes Berg would add his 4th at 14:20 to pull Oakville within two, but Adam Jones restored the three goal lead with just over a minute and a half to play. Tempers would flare late in the game with Oakville rookie Ian Mackay dropping the gloves with Adam Jones. Berg would score his fifth with 11 seconds to play, but it was too late for the Rock to mount any sort of a charge, losing game 5 by a 9-7 score.

Game 6 is slated for Friday aat 8 PM at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
