The Saugerties Stallions couldn't get anything going so long as Michael Messier was on the hill. Messier held the Saugerties Stallions hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Pat Dorrian racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Saugerties Stallions. He homered in the fifth innings.
The Utica Brewers had no answer for AJ Carkner, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Carkner held the Utica Brewers hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
Even though Ryan Simpler allowed five runs over five innings he still recorded the victory, his first of the season. He struck out none, walked two and surrendered seven hits.
