New England Wolves defenseman Eric Boyda has committed to New York University for the fall of 2015.  The  6’ 185lb defense-first rearguard from Sherborn, MA came to the Wolves after playing his prep hockey at Pomfret School.  “Eric is a strong shut down defender who plays a rugged game in the defensive zone”, commented Coach Steve Jacobs.  “He is an extremely hard worker who took full advantage of the unlimited ice time available to our players and combined it with unmatched desire and determination which has ultimately resulted in the college level player he is today.  Eric’s goal has always been to play at a strong school academically and his excellence in the classroom and on the ice has culminated into him achieving his dream at NYU”, concluded Jacobs.

“I feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to play college hockey at such a renowned institution as NYU. I am confident that NYU will continue its winning tradition in the NCAA and I am very excited to be part of that transition”, offers Eric.  “I would like to thank my family, coaches, trainers and mentors for all that they have done for me”.  I could not have achieved this opportunity at NYU or become the person and player I am today without their guidance and support”.
