Opening night is upon the Ontario Junior B Lacrosse Leagues and teams around the league are preparing for their opening games for the 2015 Regular Season. Opening night sees two games to kick off he 250 game schedule.
The Six Nations Rebels kick off another season as defending Founder's Cup Champions as they host the Welland Generals. While the Rebels will be showing off another Championship banner, the Generals will be showing off their newest acquisition, Marlin Wilson, who they acquired in trade from the Niagara Thunderhawks for Graeme McCullough back in March.
Over in Guelph, the Regals will be starting off a new era for the club as Wayne Burke will get his first chance to register a "W" as coach of the squad in his first Regular Season game behind the Regals bench. Looking to turn things around from a poor 2014 season, the Regals will look to get off to a good start as they attempt to make their way back to the playoffs for the first time since 2012. The Elora Mohawks will certainly have something to say about it as they will look to attone for their early first round playoff exit at the hands of the Niagara Thunderhawks in 2014. The Mohawks continually have high expectations and will look to start the season off with a win to get them off on the right foot in 2014.
