Contis nets hat trick, leads Smith Upper St. Clair MS3 to 6-4 win over Yauch Baldwin MS3

Alex Contis lifted Smith Upper St. Clair MS3 to a 6-4 victory with a hat trick against Yauch Baldwin MS3.

Contis notched his first tally 12:54 into the first period. He then added goals at 2:17 into the second and at 1:17 into the third.

After the loss made the series score 1-0 in the best of three series, Yauch Baldwin MS3 faces elimination next time out.

Smith Upper St. Clair MS3 also got a goal from Kolten Keller as well. Other players who recorded assists for Smith Upper St. Clair MS3 were Jake Geisler, Jonah Seymour, and Dev Patel, who each chipped in one.

Yauch Baldwin MS3 was led by Nathan Hobson, who tallied two goals. Hobson scored the first of his two goals at 5:41 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Hobson's next tally made the score 4-4 with 7:48 left in the second period. Yauch Baldwin MS3 also had goals scored by Michael OHanlon and Joshua Sobieralski, who scored one goal each.

Smith Upper St. Clair MS3 avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored three goals off of seven power plays. Yauch Baldwin MS3 incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and had no power play opportunities.
