Franklin Regional beats Serra Catholic 3-2 after comeback scare

Serra Catholic tried its best to erase a two-goal deficit, but Franklin Regional would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2.

Franklin Regional took a 3-1 lead during the second period, only to have Serra Catholic storm back on a Jonathan Henschel goal 1:25 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

Franklin Regional pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 22 penalty minutes.

Franklin Regional's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on eight Serra Catholic power plays. Franklin Regional was held below its usual level of production. Franklin Regional puts an average of 5.5 pucks into the net per game. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.
