Wichita Host City For 2015 WMF Arena Soccer World Cup
Date: Mar 2, 2015

Kim Roentved, coach of the B52’s, will wear orange one last time as he joins his team to play the Missouri Comets on Sunday, February 8. Comets head coach Vlatko Andonosvski will also play.
Roentved, who played and coached for the Wichita Wings for 16 years, said “Several players and owner Joey Pindell have asked me if I would like to play a final game. I told them that if I would, it would have to be against the team that I coached for three years and my good friend Vlatko. Roentved, better known as “The Rocket” is a seventeen-time All Star, and was formally inducted into the Indoor Soccer Hall of Fame in February, 2014. “We just both hope we can avoid going out there and not only stay away from getting hurt but also try not to embarrass ourselves.” Kim said with a smile.
“This is another chapter to be written in the books for indoor soccer in Wichita. I believe that the request from myself and some of the players is a reflection of what the fans want to see and experience. Myself and many others are excited to see Kim take the field one more time, “said Joey Pindell.
Roentved’s final game as a player will take place at 3:05pm, Sunday, February 8 at Hartman Arena.
