MIKE GOSS NAMED FIELD MANAGER OF THE GRIZZLIES

 Mike Goss is the Manager for the Glacier Grizzlies in Whitefish Montana. Mike Goss spent last season as the San Angelo Colts' Hitting Coach. Now in his 13th professional season, Goss was originally drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 11th round of the 2002 June Amateur Draft. Goss spent two years in the Red Sox organization, and then played one year in the Arizona Diamondbacks farm system. He reached as high as the Double-A El Paso Diablos of the Texas League in 2004. After three years in affiliated ball, Goss moved on to the now-defunct independent Northern League. Over the past eight years, Goss has played in multiple independent leagues, including the Northern League, the Can-Am League, the Golden League, and the United League. Prior to joining the Colts' coaching staff this season, Goss spent two years with the McAllen Thunder. Last year he and current Colts' Pitching Coach Frank James coached the Thunder under the tutelage of Dirty Al Gallagher. In 12 professional seasons, Goss has a career .301 batting average with 19 home runs and 293 RBIs in 679 games played.
