MUD TURTLES SIGN ROOKIE POWER HITTER CLAYTON TRUEX OUT LINFIELD COLLEGE

Today the Mud Turtles signed Power Hitting first baseman Clayton Truex out of Kirkland, Washington. 

During Clayton's college career he led Linfield College to two NCAA National Championship Series and three Regional Playoffs appearances. He helped the Wildcares win the 2013 NCAA National Championship and won the NCAA Western Regionals in 2013 and 2014.  Was selected to the 2013 National Championship All-Tournament Team. Selected to the Rawlings NCAA All Western Regional team in 2013 and the Northwest Conference All League teams in 2011, 2013 and 2014. Earned multiple Northwest Conference Player of the Week Awards. One of Linfield’s all-time career leaders in Home Runs, Doubles, RBIs and Hits. All time defensive leader at Linfield College in defensive attempts, putouts and double plays. Mud Turtles Manager Joesph Brown states that Clayton is a great addition to the lineup and will bring much needed experience to the Mud Turtles.
