And the Best Playmaker in P-Pats History Is...

Date:  Source: USPHL: Potomac Patriots

Wayne Gretzky had the most incredible vision on the ice in hockey history.  Closer to home Washington Capitals players like Adam Oates and more recently Nick Backstrom, set the bar for playmaking ability on the ice.  But who is the best playmaker in P-Pats history thus far?  Many would argue that you could narrow this race down to a couple of highly skilled puck distributors, Mikey Carr and Petey Wydler.  Both players are smaller, quick players that see the ice well and make excellent decsions with the puck, but who would you pick as a line mate?

Wydler was one of the pioneers in Patriots history.  He spent two seasons setting up players like Chris Howland and Andrew Turgeon.  He was one of the toughest players on his team, rarely missing a shift.  He had quick hands down low and was agile and tough to nail down in the corners.

As Mikey Carr continues his career with the Pats he continues to get better and better.  Having started with the Pats at an earlier age than Wydler, he is just now getting into his prime years of Junior Hockey.  In addition to Carr's ability to move the puck and his quickness, he posseses a shot that is hard and accurate.  Carr has his eyes focused on setting a single season assist record for the Patriots this year, as he and NIck Gray have developed a chemistry that has led to success for both players and their team.

So in looking at these two players we ask you to comment on our Facebook page (Potomac Patriots Junior Hockey Club), who would you take as a line mate if you could choose one of these two players?!?  One thing is certain, you cannot go wrong with either one of these talented P-Pats!
