Friday - Marquette Royales 4 VS Wooster Oilers 3

The two sides skated in a close battle all night long, as Marquette took a 2-1 lead after the first, on goals from Todd Cooper and Casey La Bonte. Will Schober scored for the Oilers. The tables turned in the second, as after Cameron Wirick made it a 3-1 Royales lead, Wooster’s Tyler Crites scored, and Schober tallied his second of the night, tying the game at 3-3 after 40 minutes. The 3-3 score held up throughout the remainder of the game and overtime, and the Royales took the game in the shootout.

Saturday - Wooster Oilers 6 @ Marquette Royales 3  

Remington Reynolds deposited a pair of goals to help the Oilers to their first win of the weekend. Reynolds scored the first two for the Oilers, while Rubin Chavarria and Casey Carpenter put Wooster up 4-0 midway through the second. Cameron Wirick put the Royales on the board with his second of the weekend, but tallies from Brandon Scholze and Bradley Sneed put Wooster up, 6-1, after two periods. Marquette scored twice more on markers from Jayson Dahlquist and Casey La Bonte, but Steven Schmitt held firm, stopping 17-of-20 to preserve the win.

Sunday - Marquette Royales 4 @ Wooster Oilers 1

The Royales picked up their second win of the weekend over the Oilers, as Todd Cooper potted first and third period goals, and two others scored once. The two sides were tied, 1-1, after the first on goals from Cooper and Wooster’s Michael Decrescenza, however second period goals from Ingus Matins and Cameron Wirick, and Cooper’s second of the game in the third led the Royales to the victory
