PEEWEES ARE TIER 2 PROVINCIAL CHAMPS
Date: Nov 26, 2014
Valley Defense did a great job to keep the Bulldogs in the game. They dominated the first half with Interception and 2 Fumble Recoveries: Preston Arsenault with the Interception and Parker Walsh and Emmit with the recoveries
Offensively, Valley was not able to sustain drives. Although they were able to move the ball, the drives stalled out after a handful of first downs. At halftime te game was 0-0.
Dartmouth opened the scoring with their first drive in the 3rd. They converted the kick to take an 8-0 lead. Our Offense, with strong running from Nate Oickle marched to the red zone and on a critical 4th down. In a momentum turning point, there was a discussion on placement of the ball between the officals. The call went Dartmouth's way. On the very next playthe Destroyers went 90 yards to go up 14-0. Valley Defence came up with another turnover with an interception from Tyler Croteau halfway through the 4th to give the young dogs one more chance to grab the momentum but they were not able to convert
The coaches and the association are very proud of this group of kids. Played hard and left it all on the field. Special thanks to all that came down in support for an 8:30AM start at Saint Mary's. There were the loudest section at the field today. This meant a lot to the team! Go Bulldogs!!!
