Friday: Tri-City Icehawks 4 @ Wooster Oilers 1

Addison Edwards potted a pair and two others found the back of the net for Tri-City, who extended their winning streak to four games. After Scott Conlin, Logan Gatza and Edwards gave the Hawks a 3-0 lead after 40 minutes, Wooster’s Jeffery Skinner put the Oilers on the board with his 14 goal of the season, early in the third. Edwards scored once more later in the frame for Tri-City to seal the win. Tri-City goaltender Harley White was near perfect on the night, stopping 28 of the 29 shots he faced to pick up the win.

Saturday: Wooster Oilers 5 VS Tri-City Icehawks 2

The Oilers snapped the Icehawks’ four game winning streak on Saturday, as Jake Greathouse registered a hat trick, and two other chipped in lone goals. Greathouse had a pair of goals in the first two periods that were bookended by goals from Jason Watts and Rubin Chavarria, giving Wooster a 4-0 lead after the second. The Hawks received third period markers from Scott Conlin and Jacob Tweedle, but the hat trick-clinching goal for Greathouse in the middle of the period ultimately sealed the win for Wooster. Oilers goaltender Steven Schmitt made 16 saves on 18 shots to pick up the win.

Sunday: Wooster Oilers 5 VS Tri-City Icehawks 2

The Oilers picked up their second consecutive win on Sunday, as four unanswered goals lifted them to the series win over the Icehawks. After Andy Romani put Wooster up, 1-0 after the first, Addison Edwards and Jacob Tweddle gave Tri-City a 2-1 lead, midway through the second. That momentum was short lived, as second period goals from Ricards Bruveris and Remington Reynolds, and a pair of third period goals from Brandon Scholze propelled Wooster to the big win. Creighton Furber was in goal for the Oilers, stopping 30 of the 32 shots he saw.
