Friday, October 10: Wooster Oilers 7 VS St. Louis Frontenacs 2

The Oilers skated out to a 5-0 lead and did not look back as goals from five different players propelled Wooster to a 7-2 win. Jeffrey Skinner and Brian Grant each scored a pair of goals while Bradley Sneed, Brandon Scholze and Remington Reynolds each added lone tallies. Casey Carpenter (2A) and Rubin Chavarria (3A) also had a hand in the scoring as well. Goaltender Steven Schmitt stopped 16 of the 18 shots he saw to earn the win.

Saturday, October 11: Wooster Oilers 6 VS St. Louis Fronenacs 3

The Frontenacs took a 2- 0 lead after the opening period, and were tied, 3-3, midway through the third, however three unanswered late period goals lifted the Oilers to their second win on the weekend. Kyle Parker and Riley Carnes gave St. Louis the lead, however markers from Joey Sorensen and Jeffrey Skinner tied the game, 2-2, after 40 minutes. Wooster took a 3-2 lead on Rubin Chabarria’s second of the weekend, but the Frontenacs responded with a tally from Trevor Rieck. Wooster pulled away with a pair from Casey Carpenter and a lone tally from Jake Greathouse, securing the come-from-behind win. Goaltender Creighton Furber stopped 27-of-30 shots he faced to pick up his second win of the season.  

Sunday, October 12: Wooster Oilers 5 VS St. Louis Frontenacs 3

The Oilers completed the weekend sweep of St. Louis as five different goal scorers sent them to a third consecutive win. Wooster found themselves up 3-0 early in the second thanks to goals from Jeffrey Skinner, Bradley Sneed and Jason Watt. St. Louis received a pair from Henry Hunsaker, however Remington Reynolds put Wooster up, 4-2 after two periods. St. Louis pulled to within on with a marker from Bryan Fuhler, however a Brandon Scholze goal late in the third sealed the 5-3 Oiler win. Matt Douglas picked up his second win on the season, stopping 20 of the 23 shots he faced.
