Kincardine beats Goderich 5-0 as Campbell gains shutout

The Kincardine Bulldogs used a sparkling performance by Mitch Campbell to take down the Goderich Flyers, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Kincardine's 5-0 shutout victory.

Brycin Morrison was all over the ice for the Bulldogs, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Morrison scored 5:44 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Kincardine.

Kincardine excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in 11 chances. The Bulldogs' offense rang up 36 shots on Goderich's net. Kincardine's goal total was higher than its season average. The Bulldogs average 2.8 goals per game.

Kincardine additionally got points from Patrick Wiejak, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Gerrit Satosek also scored for Kincardine. Other players who recorded assists for Kincardine were Carter Strachan and Mike Smailes, who each chipped in one.

The defense for the Flyers tightened up when they had players in the penalty box, as it let in one goal on 13 Kincardine power plays. Goderich could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 44 minutes in penalties during the game.

Campbell recorded 30 saves for the Bulldogs. Kincardine incurred 38 minutes in penalty time with 14 minors. For the Bulldogs, Shawn Moore was ejected from the game. The Flyers' Pat Do stopped 31 shots out of the 36 that he faced.
