Brett Coulson finished with two points to lead the Walkerton Hawks to an 8-2 victory over the Goderich Flyers.

Walkerton forced Goderich's goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, taking 40 shots and forcing 32 saves. Nathan Watson made 22 stops and Pat Do made 10. The defensemen of the Hawks were also effective in the Flyers' zone, and came away with two goals.

Walkerton additionally got points from Lauchlin Elder, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Walkerton included Calvin Penney, who had two and Carter Franks, Brooks Nelthorpe, Chris Gillman, and Brandon Lamothe, who each put in one. In addition, Walkerton received assists from Jay Thomson, who had three, John McCrae, Tyler Cunningham, and Austin Russell, who contributed one each, and CJ Arthur and Alex Perrault, who each chipped in two.

Goderich also had goals scored by Andrew Gooding and Jordan Pepper, who scored one goal each. More assists for Goderich came via Darby Tyhdall and Morgan Benniwies, who contributed one each.

Tristan Lewis recorded 19 saves for Walkerton. The Hawks incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Goderich incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
