Efim Gurkin scored the clinching goal in a shootout, and Russia picked up the extra point in a 1-0 (2-1 SO) win over the Lake Tahoe Blue.

The shootout featured four attempts between both teams. Lake Tahoe got a shootout goal from Nathan Chiarlitti. In addition to the clincher, Russia got a shootout goal from Roman Rukavishnikov.

Russia was led by Gurkin, who took one shot.

The Blue could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Lake Tahoe puts an average of 3.3 pucks into the net per game.

Russia ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play. The Blue avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays.
