The Titans 18A team started their season two weeks ago and have been a roll ever since. The team is a short season team coached by Oktay Armagan. They then went on to beat the Flyer 3-1, then the Red Bank Generals 4-0, and finally Brick 6-1 (all games were played at Howell Ice World). During their 4-0 run the team has only allowed 2 goals, thanks to goaltender Frank Lewery who has made 54 saves and has 2 shutouts so far. The ’97 goalie has been impressive thus far, with an outstanding goals against average of 0.67 and a save percentage of 96.4%. On offense the team has so far been led by Brian Lynch. The 6’1 ’97 forward has 3 goals and 2 assists in the 4 games, including a 2 goal performance against the Flyers. The U18 A team plays their next game Saturday August 30th against the Toms River Blackhawks.
