An impressive effort by Eric Hutting carried the Alaska Goldpanners (30-8) to a 9-1 win over the Anchorage Glacier Pilots (19-21) on Wednesday at Mulcahy Field.
Hutting blasted two home runs for the Alaska Goldpanners. Hutting went 2-4 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Hutting homered in the fifth and ninth innings.
The Alaska Goldpanners blew out the Anchorage Glacier Pilots thanks to nine hits, including zero extra base hits. The Alaska Goldpanners scored three runs in the fifth on the Alaska Goldpanners scored in the fifth on an RBI triple by Tyler Mildenberg and a two-run home run by Hutting.
Jace Puckett brought the heat against the Anchorage Glacier Pilots during his outing. The Anchorage Glacier Pilots managed just one hit off of Puckett, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his five innings of work.
Dylan Nelson couldn't get it done on the bump for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked one and struck out one.
