The Anchorage Bucs (25-14) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 2-1 to the Matsu Miners (22-12) on Saturday.
While the Anchorage Bucs led until the seventh inning, the Matsu Miners worked their way back and took the lead on a sacrifice fly by Nick Blaser.
Cameron Frost had a hot bat for the Matsu Miners. Frost went 2-3 and scored two runs. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings.
Hunter Rodriguez improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Matsu Miners. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered two hits.
Sean-Luke Brija ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
