The Alaska Goldpanners (25-7) and the Matsu Miners (21-12) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Alaska Goldpanners that eventually took advantage of them in a 2-1 win at Mulcahy Field.
Joel Belk put together a nice outing. The Matsu Miners managed just one hit off of Belk, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.
Jonathan Reid had an impressive outing against the Alaska Goldpanners' lineup. Reid held the Alaska Goldpanners hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none.
Torgen Soderlund improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Alaska Goldpanners. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered two hits.
Matthew Decker couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Matsu Miners, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
