Bremerton, WA - Brian Farkas was an original memeber of the West Sound Warriors inaugural season in 2011-12. The playmaking forward was insturmental in laying the foundation for what was about to become the success of the Warriors. In two seasons Farkas amassed 26 goals and 56 assists for a total of 82 points in 49 total games.

Farkas was called up at the trade deadline in his first season to the Minot Mintauros (NAHL) before being a roster casualty the following season and returning to the Warriors. His stay the second season was short as to be expected of a player of his caliber. The Weyburn Red Wings (SJHL) brought him up and there he stayed for the next two seasons. In his final junior season he put up 11 goals and 29 assists for a total of 40 points.

"The playmaking ability was always there for Farky," Head Coach Jay Miller joked, "What I always watched was his maturity through the years. If you look at his first season with us he had 102 penatly minutes. By the time he finished in Weyburn he had 26. He clearly grew to be less grumpy is his game progressed."

Wentworth placed third in the ECAC-NE conference and made it to the conference finals last season before being defeated by Nicols. By joining WIT, Farkas will be facing his former Warriors linemate Josh Twietmeyer on a regular basis.

"Farkas was one of my favorite kids. I feel like a his career will be long and productive. He chose WIT for all the right reasons and I think the staff there hit a home run." Coach Miller finished.

We wish you all the best of luck in the future Brian. GO WARRIORS!
