Carmen Starr Memorial Day Weekend Tournament Faces Off Friday
Seventy-five teams from Arizona, Alaska, California and Alberta are set to compete in 12 divisions

EL SEGUNDO, CA - The Los Angeles Jr. Kings have announced the field and
schedule for their upcoming Carmen Starr Memorial Day Weekend Tournament, which will run from May 23-26 at five Southern California rinks.
Seventy-five teams from Arizona, Alaska, California and Alberta will compete in 12 divisions: Midget Open, 2000 Elite AAA, 2000 AAA, 2001 Elite AAA, 2001 AAA, 2002 Elite AAA, 2002 AAA, 2003 Elite AAA, 2004 Elite AAA, 2005 Elite AAA, 2006 AAA and Mite Open. View the schedule link below
Games will be contested at Toyota Sports Center (El Segundo), The Rinks-Lakewood Ice (Lakewood), KHS Ice Arena (Anaheim), Skating Edge Ice Arena (Harbor City), Paramount Iceland (Paramount) and East West Ice Palace (Artesia).
"We're looking forward to a great weekend of hockey," said tournament director Brian McDonough. "We're excited to welcome so many great programs to Southern California for what's widely considered the premier spring tournament on the West Coast."
Division champions will be awarded a banner and trophy, and all players will receive medals. Players on the runner-up teams in each division will also receive medals.
What's more, all members of the 2005-and-older division-winning teams will receive hats, compliments of Bauer Hockey, and all division MVPs will receive a stick, also courtesy of Bauer.
Members of the 2006 and Mite Open division-winning teams will receive a stick weight, compliments of HockeyShot, and members of those divisions' runner-up teams will receive a hat, compliments of Bauer.
