Former East Coast Eagle Kenny Gillespie has announced that he has committed to R.P.I. (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institue, Troy, NY).  RPI is a member of the ECAC.  Gillespie played youth hockey with the East Coast Eagles and helped lead a Peewee team that won the Southeast District tournament and made the first ever national tournament appearance for a Carolina based team.  Gillespie went on to play at Shattuck-St. Mary's, USHL teams Omaha and Fargo, and this past season with the Jersey Hitmen in the USPHL Premier division.  As a USPHL all-star Gillespie led the league in power play goals.

The East Coast Eagles are pround to see another player from area advance to the D-1 level and we wish Kenny more success in the future.
