Date:  Source: Tier 1 Elite Hockey League (Old)

Team Comcast is proud to announce that forward Ryan Lohin has officially committed to the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.

In 36 games this season, the Chadds Ford, Penn. native has tallied a league-high 68 points. Lohin also leads the league in goals with 30 for the season. Ending the year on an 8-game point streak, Lohin put up two 6-point games and two 4-point games this season.

“I am not at all surprised with Ryan's success this year. Since he joined Team Comcast last April, it was quite clear he was going to be an elite player. His work ethic on and off the ice is second to none. He has an impeccable ability to see the ice and make plays that others at this level typically don’t possess,” said Team Comcast coach Jeremy Hall.

The University of Massachusetts at Lowell won the Hockey East title over rival Boston University last season. In recent years, the team has had many young, talented players on its roster. Team Comcast alum Tommy Panico, who currently plays for the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the USHL, committed to the UMass Lowell River Hawks last year.

Lohin plans to play for the River Hawks starting in the 2015-2016 season.

“Ryan has a tremendous support group in his family and they have done a phenomenal job supporting him through this process. Ryan has a long and successful career ahead of him and I am truly honored to have had the past year to help him achieve his goal.,” said Hall.
