Anthony Siderio netted a hat trick to lead Selects Academy @ SKS over Jersey Hitmen, 6-0.

Siderio notched his first tally 36 seconds into the second period. He then added goals at 9:26 into the second and at 14:01 into the second.

The win gave Selects Academy @ SKS a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Jersey Hitmen trailed by one after the first period, but Selects Academy @ SKS went into the second intermission with a 5-0 lead and never looked back.

Selects Academy @ SKS excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Selects Academy @ SKS forced Jersey Hitmen goalie Ryan Glander to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

Selects Academy @ SKS also got points from Karl El-Mir, who also racked up two goals and one assist. Chase Priskie also scored for Selects Academy @ SKS. In addition, Selects Academy @ SKS received assists from Jarred Toole, who had four and Brandon Crawley, Dan Dupont, and Roberts Smits, who each chipped in one.

Jeremie Lintner made 23 saves for Selects Academy @ SKS on 23 shots. Selects Academy @ SKS incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Glander rejected 31 shots on goal for Jersey Hitmen. Jersey Hitmen ended with 45 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. Jersey Hitmen ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Matt Langlois was ejected from the game.
