Potomac Patriots tried its best to erase a two-goal deficit, but East Coast Eagles would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3.

A goal by Jordan Hall put East Coast Eagles up 4-2 in the second period, but Potomac Patriots pulled to within one on Chris Howland's tally 16:39 into the third period.

The win by East Coast Eagles clinched the best of three series at 2-0.

East Coast Eagles was sparked by Hall, who racked up one goal. Hall scored short handed 17:02 into the second period to make the score East Coast Eagles. East Coast Eagles was on a disadvantage when Connor Duncan went off the ice for cross checking. Alexander DesCheneaux picked up the assist.

East Coast Eagles excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Potomac Patriots was unable to stop East Coast Eagles from sending pucks towards the net, and East Coast Eagles eventually piled up 39 shots on goal.

Others who scored for East Coast Eagles included Connor McPherson, Zac Keryluk, and Michael Bunn, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for East Coast Eagles were Brett Horn, Ryan Flynn, and Marcus Mazur, who each chipped in one.

Potomac Patriots also had goals scored by Jack Strycharz and Elijah Spoone, who scored one goal each. In addition, Potomac Patriots received assists from Michael Carr, Connor Ackerman, and Logan Nasr, who contributed one a piece.

Potomac Patriots incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. For Potomac Patriots, Kevin McDonald was ejected from the game.
