Another tight contest with the Kahnawake Hunters saw the Dogs advance with a 9-7 win and a 3 games to none first round sweep.  Halton Hills now advances to face the second round and will face the Green Gaels in the playoffs for the 6th consecutive season.  In 5 previous playoff meetings with the Gaels, the Dogs have won 3 of those playoff series.

The Hunters carried a 5-4 lead into the third period in Saturday night's game 3 in Valleyfield, Quebec.  The Dogs scored the first 3 goals of the period to take a 7-5 lead.  The home side was never able to draw even over the final period after the Dogs took the lead.  Dakota Rocco iced the game with a late goal giving the Dogs a 2-goal win.

The Dogs were without Brendan MacDonald, Derek Thomas, Leland de Langley, Matt Sargent and Austin Divitcos for game 3 against Kahnawake. 

The Gaels and Dogs will get started on Thursday night at 8pm in Clarington.  Game 2 will be played back in Halton Hills on Saturday at 7:30pm.  Game 3 is Tuesday, July 10 at 8pm in Clarington followed by Game 4 in Halton HIlls on Saturday, July 14 at 7:30pm (if necessary) and Game 5 in Clarington on Sunday, July 15 at 8pm (if necessary).
