Date: Aug 19, 2014

BOSTON, Mass. -- The Eastern Hockey League, the top Tier III Junior hockey league on the East Coast, has announced its first annual EHL Spring Showcase May16-18, 2014 at the Haverhill Valley Forum in Haverhill, Mass., and Cyclones Arena in Hudson, N.H. The EHL Spring Showcase will feature three levels of competition -- U16, U18 and U20.
All 19 EHL organizations will be entering at least two teams in the event, which will be bolstered by many non-EHL organizations. The purpose of the Showcase is to allow younger players to get on the EHL and NCAA radar screen, while allowing older player the chance to find quality roster spots at the Tier III Junior level.
The Eastern Hockey League was formed in 2013 when 12 Atlantic Junior Hockey League teams and six former Eastern Junior Hockey League teams came together with a set of stringent standards aimed at enhancing the player environment. The EHL's sole mission is moving players to NCAA roster spots.
The cost for each team will be $1875 with a three-game guarantee, and tournament spots can be reserved with a $500 non-refundable deposit. There will be playoffs and a champion crowned in each division. All game slots will be 100 minutes long (including ice cut).
