Ryan Ginand gave the Vipiteno Broncos a 3-2 (OT) victory over Ritten when he scored 9:36 into the extra period.

Ginand had two goals to lead Vipiteno to victory.

Ritten's power play was ineffective against the Broncos' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

Vipiteno also got points from Dirk Southern, who also registered one goal and one assist. More assists for Vipiteno came via Agris Saviels, Brian Lee, Fabian Hackhofer, Randall Gelech, and Aaron Power, who contributed one a piece.

Ritten stifled Vipiteno's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Ritten was led by Emanuel Scelfo, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Scelfo scored 19:49 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Vipiteno. Lorenz Daccordo provided the assist. Matteo Rasom also scored for Ritten. In addition, Ritten received assists from Andy Delmore and Ingemar Gruber, who each chipped in one.

Thomas Tragust made 31 saves for the Broncos on 33 shots. Vipiteno incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Josef Niederstatter made five saves before being replaced by Karol Krizan, who took the loss and made 31 saves. Ritten incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
