Cortina's Dingle deadly on offense in 4-1 win against ValpelliceOlimpico Cortina Tue, Mar 13, 2012 Jean Philippe Levasseur stood on his head and made 35 saves to lead Cortina to a 4-1 victory over the Valpellice Bulldogs. Cortina's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Valpellice power plays. Cortina was helped by Ryan Dingle, who finished with two goals. Dingle scored the first of his two goals at 15:37 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Cortina. Luca Felicetti provided the assist. Dingle's next tally made the score 4-1 Cortina with 4:02 left in the third period. Jonas Johansson assisted on the tally. Cortina also got a goal from Giorgio De Bettin as well. In addition, Cortina received assists from David Bowman, who had two and Jan Oberg, Francesco Adami, and Christian Menardi, who each chipped in one. Valpellice excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Bulldogs were led by Lou Dickenson, who scored the team's only goal. Dickenson scored 2:12 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Alex Nikiforuk provided the assist. Cortina incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Steve Valiquette rejected 27 shots on goal for Valpellice. The Bulldogs incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
