HC Neumarkt Egna holds on for 4-3 win against Hockey Milano Rossoblu

The HC Neumarkt Egna Wild Goose survived a determined comeback attempt by Hockey Milano Rossoblu on the way to a 4-3 win.

HC Neumarkt Egna took a 4-0 lead during the first period, only to have Hockey Milano Rossoblu storm back on a Andreas Lutz goal 10:39 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

The Wild Goose got the win behind a great game by Simone Donati, who had one goal and two assists. Donati scored 4:21 into the first period to make the score 2-0 HC Neumarkt Egna.

HC Neumarkt Egna had trouble staying out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 16 penalty minutes for four opposing power plays. The leading offender was Donati, who totaled six minutes in penalty time with three minors.

HC Neumarkt Egna also got points from Domenico Perna, who also had one goal and one assist and Donati, who also registered one goal and two assists. HC Neumarkt Egna got a goal from Michael Sullmann as well. In addition, HC Neumarkt Egna received assists from Markus Simonazzi, Flavio Faggioni, and Hannes Walter, who contributed one each.

Hockey Milano Rossoblu found itself short handed often, totaling 18 penalty minutes and allowing five power plays. The leading offender was Lutz, who totaled four minutes in penalty time with two minors.

The Wild Goose's Hannes Pichler stopped 28 shots out of the 31 that he faced. Hockey Milano Rossoblu's starting goalie, Pasquale Terrazzano, made four saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Mattia Mai, who stopped 15 shots.
