Leafs downs Bruins, 2-1

Brad Marchant had one point to lead Leafs to a 2-1 victory over Bruins.

Leafs managed to stay out of the box for the most part, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The total was was till above Leafs' average of 1.0 minutes in penalty time per game. Leafs did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting eight shots on net to force six saves.

Leafs also got a goal from Josh Scott as well. More assists for Leafs came via Paul Kessell, who had one.

Bruins' offense was handcuffed by Leafs' defensive play, and Bruins managed only three shots on goal during the game.

Bruins was led by Tuuka Rask, who scored the team's only goal. Rask scored four seconds into the second period to make the score 1-1. Geoffry Lupel picked up the assist.

Tim Thomas recorded two saves for Leafs. Leafs registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities. Rask rejected six shots on goal for Bruins. Bruins ended with no penalties and went 0-for-1 on the power play.
