Allen downs Texas in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Jason Deitsch gave Allen a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Texas Brahmas when he scored 6:51 into the extra period.

With the win, Allen evened the series at 2-2 in the best of seven showdown.

Allen was led by Deitsch, who finished with one goal.

Allen relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Bruce Graham, Keith Johnson and Tyler Ludwig took 12 of the team's 23 shots.

Allen additionally got points from Colton Yellow Horn, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Graham, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Allen received assists from Brian McMillin, Mark Nebus, and Jim McKenzie, who each chipped in one.

Texas forced Allen goalie Marco Cousineau to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.

The Brahmas were helped by TJ Fox, who registered one goal. Fox scored on the power play 18:56 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Allen. Texas had gotten the advantage when Allen's Ludwig was sent off for holding. Ross Rouleau picked up the assist. Texas also got a goal from Erik Spady as well. Other players who recorded assists for Texas were Gregg Eskedjian, Mike Hellyer, and Sy Nutkevitch, who contributed one a piece.

Cousineau rejected 32 shots on goal for Allen. Allen totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-2 on the power play. Mark Guggenberger recorded 20 saves for the Brahmas. Texas totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play.
