With baseball season officially in full swing in the month of April, our Waves are shining in their college careers. This week, we are highlighting not two players of the week, but three!! Blaize Ward, Samuel Fernandez and Benton Hickman are our players of the week!

Freshman Samuel Fernandez from Stetson University is our co-hitter of the week! The catcher had a .313 batting average across the Hatters three-game series last week against Jacksonville University. Fernandez recorded three home runs, five RBIs and four runs scored, contributing significantly to the scoreboard. 

Freshman Blaize Ward from the University of Missouri is our other co-hitter of the week! Ward scored two runs, six RBIs and a triple in the Tigers series last week against the University of Kentucky. Ward also had a .615 average across the games to help his team win the series.  

On the mound, our pitcher of the week is Benton Hickman from the University of Arizona! Hickman pitched four innings across two appearances allowing just one hit and zero earned runs. The right-handed pitcher successfully struck out six players across the four innings as well.
