The West Virginia ACHA women’s hockey team played their first home game of the calendar year, but fell 2-0 to the Liberty Flames for their first game at Morgantown Municipal Ice Arena in 2023.

Liberty took the lead with a goal with 6:09 left in the first period.

They then doubled their lead with 2:26 left in the second period.

The Mountaineers are back in action next Saturday when they face Brockport State University in Morgantown on Saturday, Jan. 28. at 9:25 p.m.
