This upcoming season features 23 games as the Pirates will play eleven of those contests at home at the Carolina Ice Zone. The Pirates will open the season with a seven-game homestand as they'll drop the puck on the season against Christopher Newport, who they'll face four times over the season, as the Captains were the 2019-2020 ACCHL M3 Champions. William & Mary, rival Appalachian State and Old Dominion will round out the October home schedule. ECU will travel to High Point for a two-game conference set as well as UNC Wilmington, a team that competes in Division II, to round out the month. November will have the Pirates on the road again with two conference games at Liberty and then a visit to the US Naval Academy for one game before Thanksgiving break. The fall term rounds out with two games in December against Stevenson, a first year program in Division III.

When things pick up in the spring, the Pirates will travel to Virginia for their second set with Christopher Newport and then head to Wilmington to face Coastal Carolina to round out the month of January. In February, ECU will visit the College of Charleston for a two-game conference set before they finish the regular season and honor their Seniors while hosting Alabama-Birmingham on Feb. 19-20th in Greenville.

The 2022 ACCHL M3 Playoffs are scheduled for February 25-27th at the LaHaye Ice Center on the campus of Liberty University. The College Hockey Federation (CHF) National Tournament is scheduled for March 18-23rd at the Ice Line in West Chester, PA.
