GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Wheat City Whiskey Jacks defeated the Sioux Falls Sunfish 1-0 Wednesday, winning their second game in a row. Whiskey Jacks pitcher Jack Moffitt (3-5, 4.75 ERA) pitched seven shutout innings, only allowing two hits. Moffitt also struck out six batters. Sunfish pitcher Griffin Hassall (3-2, 4.50 ERA) collected the loss, pitching six innings and striking out six batters.

The Sunfish offense was lackluster Wednesday, only mustering two hits. Designated hitter Tanner Wilson recorded his fourth double of the season. Whiskey Jacks right fielder Jake Hjelle finished 1-for-2 with a RBI, collecting his 15th double of the season. Centerfielder Houston Fogelstrom stole his fourth base of the season.

The Whiskey Jacks (23-37) will face off against the Sunfish (28-33) tomorrow at 7:05 p.m. at Kraft Field.
