Yesterday was “Bell Let’s talk” day, a day that is designed to raise awareness and fight the stigma around mental health.

With this in mind, the SafeTalk clinic that is being offered for FREE by HEO this coming Monday February 3 at 6:30 PM is a great way for members to take action and help create positive change when it comes to mental health and recognizing signs.

As an added bonus, participants of the clinic will be entered into a draw for 1 of 3 sets of tickets to the Ottawa Senators vs Colorado Avalanche game on February 6.

SafeTALK is a face-to-face workshop featuring powerful presentations, audiovisuals, and skills practice. Participants will learn how to prevent suicide by recognizing signs, engaging someone, and connecting them to an intervention resource for further support. A skilled, supportive trainer will guide you through the course, and a community resource will be on hand to support your safety and comfort.
