JESSE HALE
Jesse is a very passionate person when it come to hockey and the people that surround him. His passion and experience go hand in hand, helping him to thrive in a high performance environment. Jesse comes to us as most recently being the Manager of Hockey Development with Hockey Alberta & Univ. of Lethbridge. Jesse has additionally led Team Alberta High Performance teams, coached Red Deer Minor Midget AAA as well as Lethbridge Minor Midget AAA. The various roles Jesse has held previously has given him the necessary skills and attitude required to be an incredible asset to our MYERS AAA organization. Jesse recently move to Ottawa, to additional assume the role of Head of Hockey for the Ottawa Senators Hockey Programs. We could not be more thrilled that Jesse has chosen to be a part of our MYERS coaching team, and look forward to an incredible season with him joining the MJ Peewee coaching staff.
BEN GILLIS
Ben is a coach who is full of passion for the game. He has committed himself to be all in as a coach and reflects that through his commitment to not only teach athletes, but to learn from those around him as well. His greatest strengths are the ability to connect with the players to get the most out of them. Coaching younger players at this level, you want to have a coach who will connect with the players because when you treat players with respect and treat them as humans first and athletes second, the players potential is sky high. Ben has coached 5 seasons at the AA level, while last season Ben was an assistant with the AAA WILD organization. Ben’s unique skill set allows him to still be old enough to have the respect of the players but also remaining young enough to be able to relate and build the vital relationships with players.
