GM’s Beginning of the Month Report, May 4th 2018; Sunrise is at 5:40 am and sunset is at 10:14pm for a total of 16 hours and 31 minutes of daylight. Weather has been cold with temperatures in the 40’s and gray days, with little sunshine. So far, April and this first week of May windy and cold. Very unusual spring weather, but much like the rest of the country. The USAF leadership group comes every year to help us out and they showed up in full force on May 5th. This year Aaron Medina organized the cleanup with the Airman Leadership School Class 18-2 and they were WAS AMAZING!!They did field work, cleaned the concession stand and did a list of spring cleaning items. It will mark the 16th year in a row they have done this. The roster keeps evolving and changing with injuries, summer school and pitchers who have thrown too many innings and are being pulled back from summer ball. We turned the water on yesterday and had some leaks which we repaired. The field is having a tough time drying out with this cool weather. Waiting to see when Palmer HS and Colony HS will be able to use the field.
OPENING DAY June 7th!!
That’s it for now. Take care. Next report will be the beginning of June. Pete and Denise
