LEOMINSTER, Mass. – Silver Knights break the tie in the eighth inning to take the 5-3 lead and hold off the Dirt Dawgs, who eventually fall in FCBL action Saturday night.

How it Happened
Nashua struck early in the top of the first, as they capitalized on three straight base hits, including a double to the right center gap to plate a pair off the bat of Anthony Meduri (Binghamton). The Dawgs cut into the lead in the bottom of fourth as Brandon Morse (Adelphi) hit a solo shot to center field.
The Silver Knights expanded on their advantage in the top of the fifth as Cam Cook (Nichols) drove in Luke Tyree (Marymount) with a single to right field. Bradley drove in the second Dawgs run of the contest in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Wachusett would carry their momentum into the bottom of the seventh as Ryan Lever (UMass Amherst) scored on a Silver Knights error to tie the game. Nashua would regain the lead in the top of the eighth inning, by plating two runs.
