The Aviators were able to get back in the win column, beating the cross town Vols 9-4. 

 

On the Mound- 

Atwater went with a Johnny whole staff method, throwing a total of 6 pitchers tonight. Matt Thomas (Trinity University) ended up with the win, striking out two in his one inning. Also, Takumi Hamamura went 2 innings, striking out 3 and giving up one unearned run.

 

For the Vols, their starter struggled as he was only able to go two innings and surrendered 5 earned runs.

 

Game Summary-

Ryan Frakes (Merced College) led the Aviators offense, going 2-3 with 2 RBI and a run. As for the long ball, Nikko Delgado (CSU Stanislaus) and Alex Pallios ( Merced College) launched long balls. 

 

For the Vols, their centerfielder was 2-4 with a run and a RBI.
