Fenton, MO - It was an exciting night for 30 players who represented 25 different high schools in this years MOIHA All-Star game.  This was the second consecutive year MOIHA selected three All-Star captains who each drafted their team from the list of participants.  This years All-Star captains were Clayton Davis (Northwest), Kavan Johnson (Francis Howell North), and Colin Nieters (DeSmet).  Each team played a round robin format to kick off the event.  While this was taking place, players were being evaluated by MOIHA personnel to be chosen as the 2017 MOIHA Select All-Stars.  Before the Select All-Star team was announced, a skills competition took place awarding Jared Wescott (Lindbergh) as the fastest skater and sharpshooter, and Clayton Davis (Northwest) as the top goaltender. 

After the skills competition; ten players and two goalies were announced and given custom Tour hockey jerseys to represent the 2017 MOIHA Select All-Stars.  These players then matched up against the Great Plains Collegiate Inline Hockey League junior college regional champions St. Louis Community College Archers.

The MOIHA All-Stars were ready to roll right off the back as they scored eight goals in the first period to the Archers zero.  The second period saw each team score three times and the MOIHA All-Stars would take a commanding 11-3 lead into the third period.  The All-Stars continued their dominance with five more goals in the third and the Archers would talley one of their own to bring the final score to 16-4. Sam Koenig would get star of the game as he recorded three goals and two assist.
