The Goulbourn Hornets Major Bantam Girls Basketball Team continues to represent our area well winning a bronze medal at the Cornwall Lions Invitational. The tournament, which ran from February 17th – 19th, 2017, featured a team from Massena NY and teams from Eastern Ontario, who kept the Hornets busy and working towards their successful weekend.

The players didn’t make it easy on themselves, their coach Jon LeBoutillier, or their parents. With 36 seconds on the clock, their two-point lead (32-30) was much too close for comfort! The Hornets kept their composure, maintained possession of the ball and came out victorious!  This is the second bronze medal for the team this season, having won in Kanata’s Chris Paulin Tournament in Kanata as well, in December.

Next up for these Hornets is Hamilton for the Blessed Sacrament Invitational in March and Brampton for the Ontario Basketball Association Provincial Cup Championships in April. Go Hornets Go!
