GAME PREVIEW – BULLS BACK AT HOME HOSTING LONE STAR BRAHMAS

AMARILLO, TX – The Amarillo Bulls will be looking for a little redemption tomorrow (Saturday) night when they host the Lone Star Brahmas at 7 pm at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. For the Bulls it’s not only making personal amends for the performance on the ice, but to show the local fans that they are much better than that loss.

It’s the lone game of the weekend for the Bulls who will whisk off to the North American Hockey League Showcase, beginning on Monday. Amarillo is 1-1 after its first two games that included a 3-2 overtime win in Wichita Falls. For Saturday’s opponent the Lone Star Brahmas, it’s their first regular season game.

It’s the 33rd all time meeting between the Bulls and the Brahmas that was dominated early on by Amarillo. However Lone Star has been very strong lately with 12 wins in the last 13 games. The Brahmas are coming off a 2nd place finish in 2015-16 in the South Division and a semi-final playoff loss at the hands of the Topeka RoadRunners.

The Bulls and the Brahmas will get use to one another rather quickly as after Saturday’s game they will see one other four straight times starting Saturday, Oct. 8 in North Richland Hill and then the following weekend (Oct.14, 15, 16) in the Texas Panhandle.

Fans can enjoy $1 hotdogs on Saturday night plus one lucky child could win a bicycle courtesy of Seven Grill and Bar. It’s also the first Scout Night of the Season as area Troops and Packs are invited to purchase discounted tickets and pick up badges.

The Bulls Office will be open Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm for fans to purchase tickets or they can call 806-242-1122. Tickets can also be purchased at the Civic Center Box Office and all Panhandle Ticket Locations.

Broadcast Note: Fans can tune into the action live on CBS Sports Radio 1440, online at www.amarillobulls.com and on PPV with Fast Hockey beginning, with the Wayland Baptist University Warm Up Show at 6:40 pm. The hard hitting action follows with Denis J. Puska at 7 pm.
