SYRACUSE, NY - The Federal Hockey League today released the complete schedule of regular-season games for the 2016-17 season, the league’s 7th year of operation. The season, comprising 168 games, begins on Fri., Oct. 28 and concludes on Sun., Apr. 2; each of the league’s 6 clubs will play 56 games, 28 at home and 28 on the road. 

2016-17 Online Schedule 

Some highlights of the 2016-17 schedule: 

  • The 2016-17 regular season begins with two games on Oct. 28, including the home opener for the returning Watertown Wolves at the newly renovated Watertown Municipal Arena.
  • The St. Clair Shores Fighting Saints begin their first season in Port Huron, MI., on Oct. 29 when they take on the Port Huron Prowlers before thier inaugural home opener on Oct. 30 vs. Port Huron.
  • A rematch of the 2016 Commissioners Cup Finals will take place on Dec. 9th in Danbury

The FHL will begin celebration of its 7th season of play in October 2016, welcoming St.Clair Shores, Michiagn to the league. The Federal Hockey League is one of five professional leagues in the United States.  The FHL has promoted over 150 players to various other professional leagues including the AHL, ECHL, CHL, & European Leagues.  The FHL currently has teams located in Berlin, NH, Danbury, CT, Danville, IL, Port Huron, MI, St.Clair Shores and Watertown, NY.  Last season over 150,000 fans watched FHL action live.  Check out the league at www.federalhockey.com.
