The New England Stars went 1-1 this weekend, falling to Lewiston/Auburn 4-1 and beating the Cape Cod Islanders 2-1 in the final season match-up.
"We got our butts handed to us against Lewiston and then played an average game versus Cape Cod," said Head Coach Darryl Green.
The Stars, having just played their future playoff opponent, know they have to put in hard work in practice this week.
"I think Lewiston and us are evenly matched," said Green. "Whoever is willing to pay the price more will come out on top. Special teams, goal-tending, and commitment to the game plan are keys."
The players are pumped up to start the series, said Green, and ready to see how far they can go.
"The boys are excited to get it going," he said. "We get to take a short road trip and play in a hostile environment. It's going to be a great weekend."
