Pine-Richland tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but Seneca Valley held on for a 5-4 victory.
Seneca Valley made the score 5-3 on a goal by Robert Sheils at 1:15 in the third period, and Pine-Richland got as close as 5-4 when Nate Carnovale scored 10:40 into the third period.
Christopher Lipnicky and Tyler Murphy provided the spark for Seneca Valley, combining for three goals and two assists. Lipnicky had two goals and Murphy also added one goal and two assists.
Seneca Valley cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring two goals on three chances.
Seneca Valley also got points from Murphy, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Seneca Valley also got a goal from Shane Galis as well.
