SERIES SWEEP FROM TRI-CITY ENDS FEDERALS SEASON

Tri-City completed the two game sweep of the Federals in the first round of the Busch Cup Playoffs ending the season for the Fort Wayne Federals.  "It was a tough series but Tri-City came prepared and executed perfectly" stated Federals Head Coach Kevin Shupeina. The Icehawks move on and will face Illiana in round number two. This marks the end of the fourth season in Federals history, their third season for which they have had a winning percentage of .500 or better.  "I would like to thank everyone who made this season a great one, even though it was shorter than we all wanted the season was a great success and very fun and for that I say thank you" also said Shupeina.  The short off season for all involved starts here soon as everyone will enjoy some time off before the grind starts up again, "We all have a bit of time off here then we get back to work an start the quest to a national championship soon" said Shupeina.  The Federals would lastly like to thank all players aging out for all their hard work and dedication and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors.  Stayed tuned to FtWayneFederals.com for all off season news.
